Local Jet Polishing

Electrochemical and plasma electrolytic polishing in the bath are limited because it is impossible to polish workpieces locally or within workpiece cavities. To solve these problems, we not only use PEP but also a local electrolyte jet (PEP-Jet) for the local polishing of metals.

 

With a jet, we reach areas otherwise impossible to polish. Furthermore, we have shown that our PEP-Jet achieves higher polishing rates compared to EP and PEP and even higher corrosion-resistant surfaces. With local polishing of the jet, it is possible to achieve different polishing finishes on the same workpiece and polish only the areas needed, saving energy and time.
